2pts MK Dons to beat Hereford in League Two 6/4 Paddy Power and Skybet Mk Dons travel to Hereford today looking to extend their winning run to nine straight wins. Paul Ince has put together a very useful side which is scoring goals for fun at the moment. They have ex Chelsea youngster Leon Knight up front who looks ready to go on a goal scoring run after injury problems held him back earlier in the season. In the middle of the park they have ex Liverpool youngster Alan Navarro doing the majority of the defensive work which allows his partner Keith Andrews to get forward and test the goalkeeper. Andrews has an incredible seven goals already this season from midfield. Winger Lloyd Dyer is another very dangerous player at this level and he has also contributed four goals from midfield this season. I think Hereford have overachieved so far this season and the Dons should be shorter to win again today.
1pt Portsmouth to beat Wigan in the Premiership 7/5 widely available Portsmouth travel to Wigan on the back of three straight wins whilst Wigan's recent record is three straight defeats. I tipped Wigan to go down at the start of the season and although they started fairly well they are steadily dropping down the table. Harry Redknapp has put together a useful squad and Pompey are very difficult to beat at home. Their away form is also starting to pick up and they have won their last three away games. Portsmouth will also have a very large and noisy away support today after chairman Milan Mandric paid for free travel for 2000 supporters. I fancy Pompey to make it four straight wins today.
1pt Chester to win away at Stockport in League Two 9/5 Sportingbet I have said before that I think Chester have a decent little side with a very capable manager in Bobby Williamson. They are currently sitting in joint third just four points off the top. They have three very useful forward players in Yeo, Murphy and Mcmanus (Ipswich made enquiries about him recently) and the creative trickery of Richie Partridge in midfield. Stockport come into the game on the back of four straight defeats and without their top scorer Anthony Elding, who the club suspended during the week as they believe he has been trying to engineer a move to another club. Stockport also have several defensive worried today and Chester have every chance of taking all three points.
1pt Espanyol to beat Real Madrid in La Liga 11/4 Betfred, Coral and Ladbrokes Three straight wins for last season's Uefa Cup finalists and just one home goal conceded. Even more impressive was the fact that two of those wins were away at Valencia and Sevilla. Confidence will be very high going into this game especially after Reira and Tamudo won international call ups last weekend and both managed to score for Spain. Tamudo and Garcia are a dangerous attacking duo and their chances of scoring have been greatly increased by the news that Real Madrid are missing Metzelder, Heinze and Pepe at the back, Cannavaro is also a doubt, whilst Robben reported back from international duty injured. Real Madrid have been winning games but not actually playing that well and the international break will have robbed them of the majority of their squad for the last two weeks. 11/4 is a very backable price.
1pt Bayer Leverkusen and Dortmund to draw in the Bundersliga 5/2 Extrabet, B365 and Betfair Both teams go into this game with problems. Leverkusen have lost their last two and are missing Schneider and Ramelow from their midfield. Dortmund are without their captain Worns and there is reported dressing room unrest. I don't think there is too much between these sides and think the draw is a little too big.
